Shorneilla Lara

We mourn the loss of Shorneilla Lara, age 15, and extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and her friends. Shorneilla’s tragic passing compels us all to turn grief into action. Every life lost by suicide is heart-rending, leaving behind devastated families, friends and communities.

Preventing suicide requires multiple interventions. We call upon everyone to uphold a safe and supportive environment at home, in schools and in the workplace where every person is seen and heard. The general public is advised that Lifeline is available to support families and offers its tele-support services following the tragic loss of a loved one.
